Halifax just got a little more Extreme

Extreme Group’s business growth in 2008 meant a growth in personnel as well. The year was wrapped up with the addition of seven new people to the roster.

“With the growth our Halifax office saw in 2008 starting off the New Year with the right people was essential. We are always pleased to be able to find great talent that fit with the culture of our agency,” says Andrew Doyle, President of Extreme Group. “We’ve recently hired for a range of different roles, from account managers to designers, project managers and production artists. These new additions will allow us to continue to grow and see more success in 2009.”

Trevor Millett is Extreme Group’s newest copywriter. Full of creative talent, Millett took a roundabout journey into his current career. After completing a degree in theatre performance at Concordia University and spending some years involved in theatre and film in Toronto, Millett moved on to marketing and took a position as a marketing-coordinator at Universal Music in 1998. In 2001 his agency career began and he worked as an account executive before making the switch to copywriting in 2004. He joined Extreme Group in the fall of 2008.

To manage our growing interactive capabilities Julie Chisholm has joined Extreme Group as an interactive project manager. She brings seven years of experience in project management to Extreme. With an educational background in both public relations and new media design, her strength lies in managing online projects, no matter how complex. Her diverse experience includes working with FedEx, Dell, Canadian Tire and Oxford Properties to plan, develop and launch their online campaigns.

Halifax native Kate Morrison joins Extreme’s public relations and social marketing team after working in Toronto agencies for the past five years. She made the move back east to join Halifax’s Extreme team in December. Morrison brings with her a strong background in program management, media relations, and client counsel. She holds a Bachelor of Public Relations degree and a certificate in marketing from Mount Saint Vincent University.

A second addition to Extreme’s client service capabilities is Tyler MacLeod. MacLeod holds a commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University and completed his Master’s degree in commerce from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. MacLeod has three years of agency experience as an account supervisor. At Extreme Group he will hold the position of account manager.

Jenn Hughes joined the production team in the fall of 2008. After spending four years at NSCC studying photography and graphic design, Hughes comes to Extreme from the publishing industry. She worked with Saltscapes Magazine for over three years and then cut her teeth in the ad biz with another local agency.

Our second addition to the production team is Ashley Delaney. Delaney completed NSCAD University’s Bachelor of Design program, where she developed her passion for the art of communication. Since then, Ashley has proven her skills with a variety of clients and has two years of previous agency experience.

Katie Tower is another grad of NSCAD University’s Design program. She has recently completed the program and has landed her first gig as a junior designer at Extreme. Katie’s natural talent and eye for design makes her a great addition to the team.
