Paul LeBlanc inducted into Atlantic Business Magazine’s Hall of Fame

For the fifth year in a row, our CEO, Paul LeBlanc, has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s top 50 CEO’s, according to Atlantic Business Magazine. This places Paul in the Magazine’s Hall of Fame.

Atlantic Business Magazine’s 9th annual Top 50 CEO award winners were announced last Thursday night at an Academy Awards-style red-carpet gala. More than 600 people gathered at the Cunard Centre to join the Magazine in its annual salute to corporate leadership excellence.

Top 50 CEOs must be the CEO (or hold equivalent title) of a company or organization whose head office is in Atlantic Canada, or who is in charge of a provincial/regional head office that has significant decision making and organizational autonomy. Nominees are judged on their proven managerial ability, reaction to challenging situations, leadership philosophies, corporate/organizational growth over a three-year period, and commitment to industry and community development. To be placed in the Magazine’s Hall of Fame, inductees must be recognized five times as one of the Top 50 CEOs.

“It’s awesome that we celebrate our successes here in the East Coast in the form of an event like this,” said Paul. “It serves two purposes. First it helps Atlantic Canadians who are chronically shy about celebrating their successes to do so. And secondly it helps eliminate the “lobster pot” trait that we have which is not to want others to succeed beyond what is the ‘norm’ in our region.”

Extreme is a creative leader in Atlantic Canada, known for our breakthrough and progressive thinking. Last year we were named the runner up in the Marketing Magazine’s Agency of the Year report, a first for any agency in Atlantic Canada. In 2006, Paul was also named the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst and Young as well as selected as one of the “Top 100 most influential marketers in Canada” by Marketing Magazine.

Congratulations Paul!
